Mort Sheinman - A Lifetime of Achievement
Nobody has contributed more to the success of the Silurians in recent decades than Mort Sheinman. A governing board member for nearly 20 years, Mort has served as the club’s president, treasurer, membership chair, and website editor.
But there’s more: In his stellar 40-year career at Women’s Wear Daily, Mort rose to managing editor and transformed that newspaper into a more colorful, comprehensive and trustworthy chronicle of the world of fashion and fame, all with wit and grace.
Thanks to Mort’s mentoring, many young apprentices were turned into accomplished journalists. Along the way, he’s met and interviewed a remarkable array of public figures and show-biz notables.
